What does the ToadLyfe mean? Billy has a few quotes to live by and a few key people that embrace the ToadLyfe with him. All say something similar: finding joy in running, being present in the moment, and spreading smiles every day.
Toadivation is a big part of Billy's weekly routine. He loves quotes and takes a quote each week to motivate and drive his content and the ToadLyfe community.
A few years ago, he bought and lived in an RV going around to running events (lovingly named the Toadmobile) with a big sticker on the side, being present, and asking questions. Billy freelances and is in front of and behind the camera. He has honed his craft of videography and photography to be an incredible content creator. He's been asked to host events, MC, and interviews, and he is a passionate content creator.
His second greatest talent is adapting to the energy of those around him. He can read a room and ask the right questions to learn more about people and help them open up.

What Running Means to Billy
Billy's fitness journey now is to run for the joy of it, to stay healthy, and feel good. It helps him physically and mentally, and he lives for the runner’s high. He still keeps things fun and keeps the interviewing and content creation alive.
"I love running because you don't need anything but sneakers and the road." He made a point that for most other sports, you need multiple players, a ball, a field, but with running it doesn't matter. Rain, shine or snow, you can still run.
Billy keeps things fun and loves pulling young athletes out of their shells. One athlete was shy, and he knew she could solve a Rubik's cube very quickly. So, Billy brought her a cube to solve that was included in her interview. Katelyn Tuohy went on to be the 2022 NCAA outdoor champ in the 5000m run, ACC outdoor champ in the 1500m run, and ACC indoor champ in the 5000m run, a 6x All-American runner, and garnered many more impressive running accolades. Billy used to show up at her races to encourage her and interview her, and she was shocked to see him and that he remembered her.

He loves asking about race pump up songs and pre-race rituals which humanizes elite athletes and closes the gap and makes the connection for people with their heroes.
He began filming interviews on runs, opening people up, and helping them feel free during the segments. A 30 to 50 minute run becomes a great 15-minute Running with the Toad interview.
The Toad x JUNK
The Toad grew in popularity, and Billy created ToadLyfe. He made a few hats, several shirts and jerseys, and kept creating incredible content.
Billy first heard about JUNK because he is a huge Bryce Harper fan, and Bryce Harper loved JUNK headbands.
While still in high school, Billy went to a Double A Harrisburg Senators game and was calling out and cheering for Bryce at all the right times. Billy was there for an American Legion banquet, and all the kids on his team ran over once they realized Bryce was talking to him. Bryce ended up giving Billy tickets to the game the next day, his baseball bat, and talked to him throughout an entire three-hour baseball game.
When JUNK reached out to Billy about partnering with them, Billy was interested and mentioned that he was a huge Bryce Harper fan and he knew that Harper was a JUNK supporter.
It worked out, and Billy loved that Matt Garrett, the JUNK representative, had a ToadLyfe energy. Billy saw that JUNK followed him, engaged with him, and cared about him and his family. He got a few ToadLyfe headbands rolling and saw a connection with the brand.
Billy's Favorite Quotes
"Catch on fire with enthusiasm, and people will come from miles to watch you burn."
To him, this quote resonates because he wants to be energetic, enthusiastic, and high on life. He loves life, he loves to be outside, and he believes energy picks up like a snowball. Attract your tribe with the energy you put out. If you are happy, positive, and energetic, people will gravitate towards that. All those people you reached when you were doing good will be the first ones to be there for you to lean on when you aren't doing so good.
A simple smile can turn someone's day right side up, and seeing someone smile back makes him happy.

Toads hop! So why not take that leap of Faith! With all the incredible people, friends and family in his life he knows he’ll always have the love and support he needs to just go for it! You never fail, you just learn! Every situation can be as good or as bad as you make it in your own head! So look for the positives in all your negatives! Don't let your Dreams just be Dreams! "Turn your what ifs into remember whens."
Instead of "What if I would have climbed that mountain" or "What if I had gone to that event" turn it around and say yes to those things. Just go out there and do them. Turn those “what ifs” into “remember when” we did all those things.

He knows Stanley Cup MVPs, NFL Pro Bowl running backs, a Super Bowl Punter and numerous Track & Field Olympians. He's shaken Bill Clinton's hand and hung out with Dua Lipa and many more. This just shows how his ToadLyfe personality has allowed him to cross paths and go on some adventures with some pretty cool cats. His friends call it #BillyBeingBilly.
